Beyond its mining and industrial activities, the Caspian Mine Company is committed to playing an effective role in social responsibilities. We believe that sustainable development can only be achieved by maintaining a balance between economic progress, environmental protection, and improving the quality of life of communities. Therefore, we have based our social mission on four main axes:
1. Environmental protection and natural resources
As a developer of mineral reserves on the Caspian Sea coast, protecting the fragile ecosystem of this region is at the top of our priorities. By establishing the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system, we are seriously pursuing measures such as reducing pollution, recycling water, and rehabilitating mined areas. Using low-energy technologies and continuous training of employees to reduce our carbon footprint is part of our commitment to future generations.
2. Empowering Local Communities
Our presence in Golestan Province has been accompanied by the creation of sustainable job opportunities for the residents of the region. By implementing technical skills training programs for youth, supporting small businesses, and developing infrastructure such as building schools and health centers, we have taken effective steps towards reducing deprivation and increasing social welfare.
3. Promoting Public Health
The iodine produced by the company, as a vital element for preventing diseases such as goiter and mental disorders caused by iodine deficiency, is directly at the service of community health. In cooperation with medical centers and non-governmental organizations, we have implemented programs in the field of screening and distribution of iodine supplements in less privileged areas to provide universal and equitable access to this essential substance.
