Small-scale combined heat and power (CHP) power plants; an effective and efficient solution for energy sustainability in target areas
In line with its social responsibilities and with the aim of helping to resolve the challenge of electricity imbalance in the country and reducing blackouts in Golestan Province, Kansarkhzer Company has begun to build and operate small-scale CHP (combined heat and power) power plants. Among the advantages of these power plants are high energy production efficiency, reduced losses in transmission lines, improved grid stability, ability to operate in emergency situations, and the possibility of rapid commissioning.
The company’s first project with a capacity of 4.8 MW began in Atrak Industrial Park and was commissioned on 16 Khordad 1401.
Further, due to infrastructure problems in the electricity supply of the Bandar Turkman region, the company’s second CHP power plant with a capacity of 16 MW was built and commissioned on July 26, 1402 at the Siminshahr intersection with an investment of more than 5000 billion rials.
In order to continue the development path, the Caspian Mining Company is planning to build two new power plants with capacities of 8.4 MW and 12 MW in the cities of Kordkoy and Gomishan, respectively. It should be noted that the implementation of the CHP power plant with a capacity of 8.4 MW in the Kordkoy Industrial Park began in April 1404 and it is hoped that it will be put into operation this year.
It is worth noting that the generating devices of both projects, despite the restrictions resulting from the cruel sanctions against the Iranian people, are the best brands purchased from the most reputable European companies and are ready for operation.
