About Kansar Khazar Company

Kansar Khazar Company was established in 2004 (1383 in the Iranian calendar) with the goal of exploring and extracting mineral brines, particularly focusing on iodine processing, along the southeastern shores of the Caspian Sea. After conducting exploratory studies and confirming the presence of rich iodine reserves in the region, the first processing plant for this mineral was constructed at the Incheh iodine mine in Golestan Province. Operation of this plant began in late 2008 (1387).

In 2018 (1397), with the inauguration of the Incheh 2 mine and its processing unit by the President of Iran, the company’s production capacity significantly increased. Today, iodine produced by Kansar Khazar not only meets domestic demands in pharmaceutical, chemical, and petrochemical industries but is also exported to European and Asian countries.

Iran’s position as the fifth-largest iodine producer in the world is a notable achievement realized through the company’s efforts. It is worth mentioning that only eight countries worldwide have successfully produced this strategic mineral.

Achievements

Over its two decades of operation, Kansar Khazar Company has achieved remarkable national and international accomplishments by relying on technical expertise, innovation, and the utilization of rich mineral resources. These successes have not only transformed the country’s mining industry but also firmly established Iran’s position in the global iodine production market.
